Taggart Lake Loop

A beautiful and easy hike. Plenty of variety of landscapes and scenery. Lakes, bridges, mountains - a little for everyone. Generally busy, but easy to tuck away for privacy.

  • Constant views, frequent wildlife sightings

  • Great variety of landscapes and scenes, great for longer sessions and for those wanting a mix of different photos

Jenny Lake

One of (if not) the most scenic and accessible of the alpine lakes in Teton Valley

  • Various easy hiking options - a long loop around or a few trail offshoots with waterfalls close by

  • Beautiful alpine lake views and Tetons in the background

  • Frequent wildlife sightings

  • Heavy crowds in summer

*For those who want to escape the crowds, consider Jackson, String, Leigh, or Phelps Lake instead. Still phenomenal views, minus the people.

Delta Lake

This challenging 7.4 out-and-back hike features alpine lake views on the way, plenty of rock scrambling and screaming pika, and a major reward/view at the top. Worth it every time.

  • 7.4 Mile Out and Back Hike

  • Approx. 2300 feet of elevation gain

  • Challenging, recommended for those with generally good physical fitness - you will get sweaty - something to consider for photos and clothing choice

  • Great for those wanting an spectacular background and don’t mind putting in the work to get there

The Wedding Tree

A popular and sentimental spot for small wedding ceremonies. Named after two trees whose branches grew together and perfectly framed the Tetons.

  • Ceremony spot, permit required

  • In Bridger-Teton National Forest

  • Small walk from a parking lot - approx. 40 minutes from Jackson

  • Accessible year round, snow tires recommended in winter months

  • Grand sweeping views of the Gros Ventre (pronounced “grow vont”) River and the Teton Range

  • Reservations for ceremonies are required at least 30 days in advance

Shadow Mountain

  • Located 25 miles north east of Jackson, in Bridger-Teton National Forest
